(1) Is the large jarrah tree protected in a logging coupe in Lowden Forest in the Shire of Dardanup documented in the register of trees of significance? (2) Is the minister aware that that jarrah tree is in a dieback risk area and is located in a 3-kilometre walk from the nearest main road through a recently logged area? (3) Is the minister aware of an elaborate double corral-style jarrah timber fence erected at a 14-square metre distance on three sides from the bole of the jarrah tree and only 4 metres from the bole on the remaining side? (4) If the building of the fence was a government tender, when was it advertised, how many companies tendered and what company won the tender? (5) What was the cost to the taxpayer for the building of this elaborate fence? (6) Did either the Minister for Forest Products or the head of the Department of Conservation and Land Management visit that jarrah tree in Lowden Forest during March this year? (7) If so, what was the purpose of their visit to Lowden Forest and the jarrah tree? Hon PETER FOSS

I do not have an answer to this question. We are now starting to receive some incredibly detailed questions without notice of which some notice has been given for which it is almost impossible to meet the time frame. These sorts of questions should be put on notice. This creates the further problem of crossing two boundaries, because one part of the question relates to the Minister for Forest Products and another relates to the Minister for the Environment. I ask the member to put the question on notice.
