(1) Organ and tissue promotion activities include:
- Presentations to community groups and schools across the metropolitan area.
- Participation in conferences and at expos.
- Participation in State and National community awareness raising programs, including the annual DonateLife week, Honour Board Ceremony and Tree Planting Ceremony.
- Articles in a variety of newsletters and papers, including Government and non-government newsletters, Medical Forum and Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
- Participation in radio interviews.
Clinical Education programs for medical, nursing and allied health staff are conducted at regular intervals across the metropolitan hospitals.
(2) There has been a 33% increase in the number of deceased organ donors from January to May 2013 compared with the same time last year.  This increase is attributable to a wide range of activities conducted for the purpose of enhancing community and clinical awareness.
