ROAD TRAUMA TRUST ACCOUNT — QUESTIONS WITHOUT
NOTICE 927 AND 1024
1514. Hon MARTIN ALDRIDGE to the Leader of the House
representing the Minister for Road Safety:
I refer to
question without notice 1444 of 12 November 2024.
(1) In reference
to the $57.3 million that has been allocated to new road safety initiatives,
will the minister please provide a breakdown of such allocation, including
which initiatives and how much of the $57.3 million will be incurred in this
financial year?
(2) Taking into
consideration that the 2024–25 budget projected $133 million in
expenditure from the road trauma trust
account and that the government has made subsequent and additional funding
announcements , why is the expenditure limit still at $133 million?
(3) Is it the
case that the announcements made to date are not in fact ''extra''
expenditures and, rather, fall within the $133 million of allocated
expenditure?
