WA PLANNING COMMISSION —
KIARA COLLEGE — LAND VALUATION
784. Hon ALANNA CLOHESY to the Minister for
Planning:
I refer to the approximately 20 hectares
of WA Planning Commission land currently leased to Kiara College for use as a farm
school.
(1) What is the current estimated
value of that land if rezoned for residential housing?
(2) If there is no valuation taking
into account rezoning, what is the most recent valuation of the land?

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the member for some notice
of the question.
(1) No valuation has been undertaken
on a residential zoning basis.
(2) The land
owned by the WA Planning Commission east of the college is valued annually by
the Valuer‑General for the purposes of the government property register.
The last valuation as at 30 June 2016 for the government property register was
$721 000 based on its parks and recreation reservation.
