(1) What was the nature and purpose of a survey carried out in 2006 in Tom Price by Ms Jenny Thomas from Northern Edge Consultants Pty Ltd on behalf of the Department of Health? (1) Northern Edge Consultants Pty Ltd was engaged in August 2006 to undertake community consultation over three days about staffing and service changes at Tom Price District Hospital during that time. (2) Yes. (3) Northern Edge Consultants’ community survey is available on request. Key findings were released to the Tom Price community via a community information flyer in late 2006. Since this work has been done, the WA Country Health Service in the Pilbara has been undertaking the development of a health services directory and clinical services planning, including consultation with the Tom Price community.
