I refer to the Minister’s decision not to suspend the Shire of Coolgardie following the show cause notice issued in August, and I ask : (a) Since the decision, has the Shire of Coolgardie complied with the requests made by the Minister; and (b) Will the Minister detail any current of future information regarding the requests?

(a) Yes.
(b) Clear expectations have been set for the Shire of Coolgardie (Shire) to support the rebuilding of its financial position. These include, but are not limited to, that all council members complete financial management training and that the Shire provides regular updates on the implementation of the Financial Recovery Plan and its Long-Term Financial Plan.
The Local Government Inspector is monitoring the Shire’s improvement actions.
