2012, how many child health nurses does the Department of Health need to meet
current demand in Western Australia?

I thank the member for some notice of this question.
(1) As per the
Department of Health's previous advice in 2011, workforce analysis
indicated that there was a need for an additional 106.4 FTEs of child health
staff statewide. New workforce modelling is occurring and will result in
reviewed child health FTE requirements to address current and future demand.
(2) The
Department of Health currently employs 197.9 FTE child health nurses statewide.
(3) The
Department of Health's workforce analysis indicates that there is a
need for an additional 135 FTE of school health staff statewide. New workforce
modelling is occurring and will result in reviewed child health FTE
requirements to address current and future demand.
(4) The
Department of Health currently employs 155 FTE school health nurses statewide.
