I refer to the Minninup Forest block (the block) in Stirling Estate in Stratham, and I ask: (a) has the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions (DBCA) had any discussion with the Australian Wildlife Conservancy (AWC) about the block; (b) if yes to (a), did those discussion involve AWC managing the block; (c) did AWC offer to fence the block and rehabilitate it at their own expense; (d) if yes to (c), was this offer accepted or rejected, and why; (e) was there any discussion with local DBCA representatives in the South West or the local community, about the AWC interest in the block; and (f) what is the DBCA future plan for the rehabilitation and ongoing regeneration of the ecosystem, in the block?

(a)– (f)   I am advised that a local community member has suggested to Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions (DBCA) staff that the Australian Wildlife Conservancy (AWC) may be willing to help manage the Minninup Forest block. However, DBCA has not been contacted by AWC about managing, fencing or rehabilitating the block.
DBCA will continue to implement management priorities and direction documented in the Tuart Forest National Park Management Plan 79 (2014).
