I refer to the media statement issued on 20 February regarding the second stage of the Belong recruitment campaign for nurses and midwives, and I ask: (a) has a review been completed into the first stage of the Belong Campaign, and if so, please table this review; (b) for each of the following categories, how many recruitments were made as a result of the Belong Campaign: (i) international nurses; (ii) interstate nurses; (iii) international midwives; and (iv) interstate midwives; and (c) what incentives is the State Government offering to recruit former nurses and midwives?

(a) – (c) As the Belong Campaign is an advertising campaign, it is not possible to know how many health professionals have been recruited to WA Health as a direct result of the Belong Campaign.
However, since the Belong Campaign commenced in October 2021, there have been 17, 063 new to health appointments, an increase of 72.5%. Of these new appointments there has been a 79.7% increase in nursing appointments, 82.5% increase in allied health appointments and 34% medical appointments.
The State Government offers various incentives to interstate and international health professionals taking up roles in WA Health.  The incentives are as follows:
•         $8,000 for eligible experienced international applicants.
•         $8,000 for some international Resident Medical Officers (RMOs) employed in mental health roles or in the WA Country Health Service (WACHS), excluding WACHS
metropolitan offices. Further information on eligible applicants can be found below.
•         $6,000 for eligible experienced interstate applicants working in mental health roles or in the WA Country Health Service (WACHS), excluding WACHS metropolitan offices.
•         $3,000 for eligible experienced interstate applicants who take up a position in WA Health.
Additionally, WA Health subsidises re-entry to practice programs and refresher training programs for nurses and midwives through a range of scholarships.
