I refer to the government funding provided via the South West Development Commission towards the establishment of the Australian Centre for Digital Innovation, and I ask: (a) is it the usual practice of the South West Development Commission, or the Government, to provide funding assistance to increase the international competitiveness of a private business; (b) how many and what new jobs have been established in Bunbury, for Bunbury residents, as a result of this funding grant; (c) what are the economic benefits to Bunbury as a direct result of this funding grant; (d) will the Minister table the evidence relied on in the answer to (c); and (e) if no to (d), why not?

(a) The South West Development Commission recommends funding for  common user infrastructure that assists industry development and  competitiveness.
(b) No data is held in relation to job creation outcomes associated with two grants provided to the City of Bunbury relating to infrastructure and fit out at the Bunbury City library building.
(c) Ability to attract and expand digital content industry and provide data  wharehousing facilities.
(d) No.
(e) No evaluation has been completed.
