I refer to the Transport Minister's announcement on 11 October 2012 that $16 million has been allocated to build two new steel and concrete traffic bridges - one at Seventh Avenue and the other at Third Avenue, and ask —
(1) What 'minor preconstruction works' have already been undertaken on the Seventh Avenue Bridge?
(2) Can the Minister confirm that construction works on the Seventh Avenue Bridge will commence in 2014-2015?
(3) Has funding been allocated to commence construction work?
(4) If yes to (3), in which year has the funding been allocated?
(5) Why will construction work on the Seventh Avenue Bridge not start any sooner than 2014-2015?
(6) Is $16 million the total estimated cost of the two new bridge construction projects?
(7) What is the allocation or estimated total project cost for the Seventh Avenue Bridge?
(8) What is the allocation or estimated total project cost for the Third Avenue Bridge?
(9) Has the State Government applied, or is the Government considering applying, for Federal Government funding towards these two new bridge projects?
