DEPARTMENT OF THE ATTORNEY GENERAL
(1) One mobile phone was reported stolen and two mobile phones where reported lost.
(2) $697.00 excluding GST.
(3) Yes.
(4) Police reports were made on the following dates:
6 September 2007;
7 September 2007; and
28 November 2007.
(5) The stolen and lost items have not been recovered.
(6) Not applicable.
(7) The Department's information technology assets lost and stolen procedures requires all lost and stolen mobile phones to be reported to the police, a signed statutory declaration outlining facts surrounding the loss or theft of the mobile phones and for managers to consider the degree of negligence involved in the loss or theft of the item. Where it is determined an individual was negligent, disciplinary action may proceed.
(8) Reporting lost mobile phones to the police was introduced in August 2006. Completion of statutory declarations and consideration of any negligence involved in the loss was introduced in December 2006.
