I refer to the Firearms Bill 2024
and the reforms that were announced on 16 October 2023.
(1) What was the total number of
firearms licensed in Western Australia as at October 2023?
(2) Of those, how many were registered to the following
categories as at October 2023 —
(a) category A;
(b) category B;
(c) category C;
(d) category D;
(e) category E; and
(f) category H?
(3) What is the total number of
firearms licensed in Western Australia as of today?
(4) Referring to (3), how many are
registered to the following categories —
(a) category A;
(b) category B;
(c) category C;
(d) category D;
(e) category E; and
(f) category H?

of the question. Noting how difficult the honourable member said that was to say, I think somebody who lodges the member's
questions on her behalf changed the ''a'' to ''1''
and the ''b'' to 2 so that it reads differently.

Police Force advises that it is not possible to provide an answer within the
required time frames. The response will be provided to the honourable member
tomorrow.
