CARPENTER : We will continue to have a body that oversees the development of science and innovation, in the same form. However, I want to broaden its purview. I want to broaden the areas that it is involved in. We have been involved in discussions. It is no secret. The chair of the Science Council, Dr Ian Constable, has a close connection with this chamber - Dr E. Constable : Don’t quote me! Mr A.J. CARPENTER : Please ask! We have made no secret of the fact that we are changing the way we are addressing this issue, and that is a good thing. The chair of the Science Council is working on those changes.
