representing the Premier:I refer to the financial consequences of the machinery-of-government,
or MOG, changes announced on 31 March,and the Public Sector Commissioner's
nationwide search for four new directors general and a new Under Treasurer.(1) Can the Premier provide the relevant payout
information for all departing senior executive service officers affected by the
MOG decision?(2) For each of the new positions, plus the Under
Treasurer, can the Premier advise:(a) the proposed salaries and entitlements;(b) how many candidates have applied;(c) who comprises the selection panel;(d) when a decision to recommend an appointment
will be made; and,(e) the cost of the recruitment process today?

Hon Stephen Dawson replied:I thank the
honourable member for some notice of the question.(1) Under section 59 of thePublic Sector Management Act 1994, the Director
General of the Department of Finance, Ms Jodi Cant, will receive $284,637 for
the early termination of her contract.(2) (a)–(e) The Public Sector
Commissioner's recruitment process is ongoing. Further information will
be made available as these positions are filled.
