PUBLIC TRANSPORT — 20-YEAR PLAN
I refer to the 20-year plan for public transport. (1) Are any agencies in the minister’s portfolio considering possible funding sources for future public transport proposals included in the plan? (2) If yes to (1), what options are being considered? (3) If no to (1), can the minister assure the house that the government will not increase or introduce any new fees, charges or taxes to fund the 20-year plan? Hon SIMON O’BRIEN

(1)–(3) In line with its election commitment, the Liberal–National government is currently considering the future public transport requirements for the metropolitan area. Funding arrangements, including funding sources, will be examined as part of this process.
