Health—Human resources management information system
183. Hon Tjorn Sibma to the parliamentary secretary representing the Minister
for Health:
I refer again to the
procurement and implementation of the $220 million human resources management information
system (HRMIS) across WA Health.
(1) According to the contract, by when is the
HRMIS supposed to be delivered?
(2) Has that date been met, or is that date likely
to be met according to the departmental advice available to the minister?
(3) If the project is behind schedule, which
factors are responsible for the delay?
(4) What is the revised delivery date and how will
that date be met?
(5) What contingency
arrangements have the health services adopted in the meantime to extend or improve
their present HR systems and at what cost?

I thank the
honourable member for some notice of the question. The following has been
provided by the Minister for Health.
(1)–(4) The government anticipated
delivering HRMIS in December 2024. HRMIS is a significant project and the state
government is continuing work to ensure that it is ready and suitable to be
rolled out in due course.
(5) The WA health system undertakes regular
maintenance and improvements to the current HR systems within ordinary
operational budget parameters.
