Minister for Lands:
I refer to DevelopmentWA attempting
to offload the Midland railway workshops to the City of Swan.
(1) What was the

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question.
(1) The average
annual cost for the entire Midland railway workshops precinct over the last
three years was $650 000. The heritage buildings being discussed with the City
of Swan cover only a small proportion of this area.
(2) DevelopmentWA's
objective is to deliver the best land use and land management outcomes from the
site as part of the normalisation process for former Metropolitan Redevelopment
Authority landholdings.
(3) DevelopmentWA
representatives were invited to an informal introductory meeting with Town
Teams in 2019, and subsequently introduced it to the City of Swan. No formal
meetings have been held.
(4) Not applicable.
