I thank the honourable member for some notice of the question. (1) Bunbury has a coordinated approach to the delivery of early intervention therapies through its child development team, which consists of a physiotherapist, a speech pathologist, an occupational therapist, a social worker and a community health nurse. Referrals to the team are accepted from parents and carers, teachers, child and school health nurses, general practitioners and paediatricians. An intake meeting of the team is conducted weekly and referrals are made to the relevant therapist or therapists, or the patient is referred for multidisciplinary assessment. Referrals from the team can be made to external providers such as general practitioners and paediatricians, as well as to an audiologist, a dietician or a podiatrist, if warranted. (2) The child development team is currently based at the community health centre at Hudson Road, Bunbury, and there is no plan to alter this. (3) Not applicable.
