(1) None.
(2) Not Applicable.
Main Roads
(1) The Department of Treasury and Finance's Building Management and Works (BMW) business unit is responsible for the establishment and administration of contracts for building maintenance works in Main Roads facilities. BMW has established contracts with private sector facility managment companies to assist it in this role. The facility management companies undertake their work in compliance with Government works procurement policies.
(2)
(a)-(e) The facilities management companies are involved in the procurement of thousands of works jobs each year, the vast majority of which are below the public tender threshold of $150 000. The resourcing effort and cost of responding to the details sought on each of these jobs is prohibitive.
Department of Transport
(1) Transport has no contractors or consultants engaged to undertake Transport's tendering processes.
(2) Not applicable.
