The VET FEE HELP loan scheme and the collection of repayments are administered by the Federal Government.
The VET enrolment data collection is not designed to support financial year or semester based reporting as each collection point represents a standalone year-to-date snapshot of activity. The Department of Training and Workforce Development only reports enrolment activity at periodic intervals that reflect enrolments recorded from the start of the calendar year.
For consistency with previous questions and due to recent changes in the timing of national reporting requirements, figures reflect unvalidated VET enrolment data as at
31 July 2015.
Year to date figures for VET FEE HELP loan data are subject to change, as students do not formally incur a debt until after a census date has passed.
(a) In 2015 to date, there have been VET FEE HELP loans for 4332 publicly funded course enrolments.
(b) $14 377 160.
(c) The average loan value per course enrolment has been $3319.
(d) In 2015 to date, there have been VET FEE HELP loans for 159 government subsidised course enrolments to students living in the South West.
(i) The average loan value per course enrolment has been $3729.
