GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES SUPERANNUATION BOARD (1) No. (2) Employer and members contributions. (3) GESB has recently commenced an e-Business project, which aims to establish electronic payment facilities to allow employers and members to make superannuation contributions, through the GESB website. The project is expected to be completed by mid 2004. HOUSING AND WORKS (1) The following payments can be made using the Fastpay facility on the OnlineWA site: · Vacated Arrears · Bond Loan Repayments · Rent Payments · Tenant Liability Payments · Water Payments (2) Most payments are received directly via Electronic Funds Transfer and other similar mechanisms from parties whom we already have an established relationship. (3) Further on-line payment facilities have been examined but with the high take up of payments via direct debit the cost of further provisions are not justifiable at this time. INSURANCE COMMISSION OF WESTERN AUSTRALIA The Insurance Commission of Western Australia does not have its own internet website established that allows for any on-site payments. The Insurance Commission’s Third Party Insurance premiums are collected by its Agent, the Department for Planning and Infrastructure (DPI). DPI allow for several methods of payment, including payment via its secure transaction site www.dpi.wa.gov.au The Insurance Commission also manages the RiskCover Fund on behalf of the Department of Treasury and Finance, issuing insurance premium renewals to Western Australian Government Agencies. Many of these agencies pay by Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) and the Insurance Commission continue to promote the benefits of agencies making payments to RiskCover by EFT. It is not considered appropriate or necessary for these Government Agencies to pay via an internet website. (2) Refer to (1) above. (3) Refer to (1) above LAND INFORMATION (1) The Department of Land Information’s (DLI)’s products and services are partially available through DLI’s web site at www.dola.wa.gov.au or www.landonline.com.au with other services provided electronically through dial-up facilities. Charges for certain ‘products and services’ can be paid for on-line – these include Fishing Hot Spots and Skyview. (2) Currently there are no options available to process payments for any other product or service on-line. DLI is transitioning to a new Financial Management and Information System (FMIS) and at this current stage of its development this new system is not yet capable of interfacing with Landonline. Additional products such as sales evidence, Title searches and images of Plans cannot currently be accessed or paid for on-line. These services are available to be ordered on-line through dial-up facilities. If the customers want to access information through dial-up facilities, they must first set up a credit account before they can receive the information. The requested information is then sent to them via a facsimile service. Charges for providing services through the dial-up facilities are then debited from a customer’s account on a monthly basis. (3) At this point, DLI’s on-line presence is being assessed and the transition to providing facilities for on-line payments is currently under development through its web portal – www.landgate.com.au where it is envisaged the majority of DLI customers will be able to access and pay for DLI’s products and services. DLI is developing applications that will provide a solution for online payments by June 2004. LOTTERYWEST (1) Lotterywest does not have Internet website payment processes for invoices, licences, charges, fines or fees. (2) The payments not available to be made on-line through the Internet website are for Lottery purchases (Lotto, Scratch’n’Win tickets and Players Card services), prize payouts, grants and invoices for goods and services. Payments for large prize payouts, for grants and for goods and services are all available on-line through the preferred method of direct credit to bank accounts. For collection of Lotterywest funds collected by Retailers from sale of Lotteries all transactions are done on-line through direct debit of bank accounts RACING AND GAMING DEPARTMENT OF DRGL (1) Yes, for the payment of annual liquor licence fees and penalties. (2) New licence or permit applications are not accepted via an on-line submission, due to the nature of the required supporting documentation. (3) The Department is working closely with Office of e-Government to further progress electronic payment initiatives. BPB 1) No. (2) While no payments can be received on-line, a small number of debtors are able to pay invoices electronically direct into the Board’s bank account. Given the small number of transactions the Board does not have any immediate plans to provide for on-line website payments. (3) Not applicable. TAB (1) No. (2) While no payments can be received on-line, the TAB processes all settlements with industry bodies and its agencies electronically. Future e-commerce developments will be determined by Racing and Wagering Western Australia when it assumes responsibility for the TAB’s operations and the TAB is abolished. (3) Not Applicable. WAGRA (1) No. (2) No payments can be received on-line. Given the small number of transactions, and Racing and Wagering Western Australia assuming responsibility for WAGRA’s principal club responsibilities, the Board does not have any immediate plans to provide for on-line website payments. (3) Not Applicable. STATE SUPPLY COMMISSION (1) No. (2) No fees are paid to the Commission. (3) Not applicable. WATER CORPORATION (1) & (2) Customers may pay Annual Service Charge Accounts, Adjusted Service Accounts, Sundry Accounts and Water Usage Accounts 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by accessing the Water Corporation’s public web site. Any services other than the above that require payment in advance, (eg. Service relocations, headworks charges, internal plumbing plans and reprographic services) are unable to be paid on-line. For on-line payments of this type the web site currently requires the input of an account number, which is not created until after the payment is made, to confirm that the service is required. (3) The Water Corporation is continually developing its e-business services based on customer and business priorities, with a view to ultimately providing on-line payment capability for all fees and charges.
