1. - 3. The State Solicitor's Office provides all legal advice required by the Electoral Commissioner. While the Electoral Commissioner is advised of the value of the advice for accrual accounting purposes, there is no requirement for payment to be made. The value of the advice received since 1 July 2003 is $59,456.17. A further $122.10 was actually paid to the State Solicitor for legal advice on the Election roll scanning contract. 4. Interpretation of the Electoral Act 1907 , the Local Government Act 1995 and legal advice on the Election roll scanning contract.
