CAPITAL WORKS PROGRAM — TREASURER'S
COMMENTS
148. Mr B.S. WYATT to the
Treasurer:
I have a
supplementary question. I refer to my original question.
(1) Does the Treasurer support the airport
rail line being funded by taxpayers and the former Treasurer's plan to
build it underground?
(2) Does the
Treasurer favour the position of selling the state's desalination
plants?

(1)–(2) I am the Treasurer. We will have an
asset review and make decisions based on that. My understanding of what the
previous Treasurer said is that he was going to look at tunnelling for the
Forrestfield railway. We are looking at a whole range of issues, and when we
are ready to announce them, we will let the opposition know.
