The Department of Mines and Petroleum advises:
There have been two (2) mining leases and twenty five (25) exploration licences granted since September 2008 which encroach marginally onto the Helena Aurora Conservation Park.
The grant dates and holder names of these mining tenements are detailed in the attached schedule [see tabled paper ....]. Any encroachment onto the Park is incidental and due to the tenements having graticular block boundaries, whereas the Park boundaries are not defined in the same manner.
