Now that the government has demolished the Wittenoom power station, will the minister advise members of the number of residents who have left the town since the demolition and what the government proposes to do with the residents who have decided to stay in Wittenoom? Hon JON FORD

I thank the Leader of the Opposition for some notice of this question. Three residents have accepted the state government’s offer to purchase their properties and have left town since the closure of the power station. The government will continue to encourage the remaining residents to voluntarily relocate from the town.
