I thank the member for some notice of this question. The Department of Commerce is currently analysing the submissions to its lease register position paper. The government expects to introduce appropriate legislative amendments early next year. Drafting of the small business commissioner legislation has been given the highest priority and the government aims to introduce it at the beginning of next year.
