that no transfers to the State Records Office were made by the State Library as
required during the year, and ask: (a) why
were the transfers stopped; (b) when
will the transfers recommence; (c) how

(a) The transfer process is labour intensive and has been impacted by staffing constraints. In 2017-18, the focus shifted to find ways to streamline the process.
(b) Work on transfers has continued in 2018 with two photographic collections, amounting to nearly 500 photographs from the Forests Department and Native Welfare transferred in October 2018.
(c) 31 collections are currently listed for consideration for transfer, and other items may be identified.
