(2) Has the Minister or his office had any discussions with the Metropolitan Redevelopment Authority, the Premier or another Minister regarding a possible declaration of Scarborough Beach a Redevelopment Area, and if so, with whom?
(3) Has the Metropolitan Redevelopment Authority done any work on the Scarborough Beach Precinct, and if so, what?
(4) What funding has been provided in the Budget as a contribution to upgrading Scarborough Beach?

Declaration of a Redevelopment Area over the Scarborough Beach area is not currently being proposed. However, this may be considered as an option in future, as the City of Stirling has requested State Government assistance in regeneration of the area.
(2) - (3)
The State Government has a number of mechanisms which may assist the regeneration of Scarborough Beach. The creation of a redevelopment area is one of these options and the Metropolitan Redevelopment Authority and Department of Planning have been consulted in this respect.
(4)
Funding has been provided for in the State Budget within the Police, Tourism and Transport portfolios. This question should be directed to the appropriate respective Ministers.
