(a) what are the names, titles and levels of senior executives who have taken voluntary redundancies;
(b) have these positions been re-filled, either in an acting or substantive way; and
(i) if so, which ones;
(c) for each of the voluntary redundancies:
(i) what was the total cost of these voluntary redundancies;
(ii) what were the conditions of payment for the senior executives to receive the voluntary redundancies; and
(iii) will the Minister table a copy of the conditions; and
(A) if not, why not?

(a)          No Senior Executive Service officers employed under the
Public Sector Management Act 1994
took voluntary severance during the period 11 August 2009         to 20 April 2010.
A senior officer employed under the
School Education Act 1999,
with comparable          responsibilities and salary, took a voluntary severance during that period.
The officer was Janice Little, Director, Schools of Isolated and Distant Education            and the salary level was Director Schools.

(c)(i)       $272 570.58;
(c)(ii)      The voluntary severance was based on the officer being surplus to Department of          Education's requirements. The payment was made under provisions of the
Public         Sector Management (Redeployment and Redundancy) Regulations 1994
and included an amount:
·       of three weeks salary for each year of completed service up to a maximum of 52 weeks;
·       of 12 weeks salary in lieu of notice of termination; and
·       for accrued annual and long service leave.
(c)(iii)   These conditions are documented in the
Public Sector Management (Redeployment         and Redundancy) Regulations 1994.
