GOVERNMENT CONTRACTS —
HUAWEI
42. Mrs L.M. HARVEY to the Minister for Transport:
I have a supplementary question. Can
the minister understand why the people of Western Australia are angry with her
for spending $206 million —
Several members interjected.
The SPEAKER : Be careful,
because you are asking for an opinion. Be careful how you question it.
Mrs L.M. HARVEY : — of
taxpayers' money on this contract with a controversial Chinese company without
taking it to cabinet and then not informing the public of her decision?
Mr W.J. Johnston interjected.
The SPEAKER : Minister!

I do not sense the anger. All I sense
is an opposition that is completely irrelevant from the major political topics
of the day.
