(1) There are a number of facilities that are licensed to discharge substances to the marine environment, and the substances and quantities involved differ for each facility. Given the diversity of substances involved, I have organised for the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) to provide you with a list of substances and quantities for each premise in due course. (2) There are many licensed facilities that discharge into either the Swan or Canning River systems and I have organised for the DEP to provide you with the information in due course. (3) Similar to discharges to the marine environment, there is a wide range of substances and quantities discharged into the Swan or Canning River systems, which vary from facility to facility, and from year to year. It will take some time to compile this information, and I have requested that the DEP provide you with this information in due course.
