I refer to the arts budget on page 568 of the Budget Statements , wherein it states that $1.344 million has been allocated for voluntary severance. How many jobs does this equate to and what areas will these jobs be lost from? Hon ROBYN McSWEENEY

Seventeen positions in the 2009–10 financial year have been allocated for voluntary severance from the Department of Culture and the Arts. The areas are: State Library of Western Australia, 12 positions; Western Australian Museum, two positions; and Department of Culture and the Arts, three positions.
