I refer to the recommendations in the 2012 Auditor General's Report 15 on Managing the Road Trauma Trust Account, and ask:
(a) can the Minister detail what measures have been introduced (against each Auditor General recommendation) to give the Western Australian community confidence that the allocation of funds is going directly to road safety; and
(b) are all financial and legislative requirements now being met?

(a) The Auditor General's audit conclusion (page 7 of Report 15 - Managing
the Road Trauma Trust Account) found that "all speed and red light camera
fines are paid into the Road Trauma Trust Account and only used on road safety
measures as required by legislation." The Western Australian
community can have full confidence that the allocation of funds is going
directly to road safety.
(b) All financial and legislative requirements of the Road Safety
Council Act 2002 and other financial control Acts are being met.
Additional procedural, governance and accountability measures recommended by
the Auditor General's Report have been introduced to further strengthen the
administration of the Road Trauma Trust Account.
