Minister for Environment:
I refer to the section of the public environmental review of
the Mangles Bay marina-based tourism precinct under the heading ''Transplantation
trials in mooring scars'' on page 258.
(1) With regard to the replacement
of the existing moorings with ''Ezyrider'' moorings—
(a) what was the cost;
(b) who paid; and
(c) when was the payment made?
(2) With regard to the
transplantation of seagrass —
(a) what was the cost;
(b) who paid; and
(c) when was the payment made?
(3) Have the
amounts referred to in (1)(b) and (2)(b) been recouped from Cedar Woods
Properties Limited?
(4) Has monitoring of the
transplanted seagrass meadows been carried out since March 2011?
(5) If no to (4), why not?
(6) If yes to (4), what were the
results of that monitoring?

I thank the honourable member for some notice of this
question.
(1)–(6)
The Environmental Protection Authority is currently assessing the Mangles Bay
marina-based tourism precinct. The proponent has provided a draft response to
submissions to the public environmental review document, which the Office of
the Environmental Protection Authority is currently reviewing. While the
Environmental Protection Authority's assessment is in progress, it is
inappropriate for me to comment further on these matters, other than to say
that government will give careful consideration to both the environmental and
social issues associated with the proposed marina.
