(i) had their vehicles impounded under the anti-hoon provisions;
(ii) had their cars confiscated by Court order;
(iii) been caught contravening the anti-hoon laws more than once; and
(iv) been caught contravening the anti-hoon laws more than once and had their vehicles confiscated as a result;
(b) how many reports of hoon behaviour have been lodged by members of the public since the commencement of the anti-hoon laws;
(c) how many of these reports have resulted in successful prosecution of the drivers;
(d) in how many of the cases referred to in (b) was photographic and/or video evidence produced; and
(e) In how many cases referred to in (b), was the complainant required to give evidence in court and, how many of these led to successful prosecution?

(a) (i) Since September 2004 to the week ending 20 May 2008, 2567 vehicles have been impounded under the anti-hoon provisions.
(ii) Nil.
(iii) 76 people have been caught contravening the anti-hoon laws more than once.
(iv) Nil.
(b) WA Police does not record this specific data. Hoon behaviour is classified as a Traffic breach and cannot be distinguished from other recorded traffic breaches in the Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) data.
(c)-(e)WA Police does not record this specific data. Statistics are not kept on particular matters regarding drivers prosecuted under anti-hoon laws.
