NIB STADIUM — ALLIA VENUE MANAGEMENT
202. Ms R. SAFFIOTI to the
Minister for Sport and Recreation:
I have a supplementary question. Can the minister confirm
that the state is liable for a payout of millions of dollars as a result of
this early termination under the heads of agreement signed by this government
and involving the head of the Department of the Premier and Cabinet?

AnswerView source ↗

Yes, there is a residual value in
the balance of the contract under the heads of agreement, but I cannot tell the
member what that amount is.
Ms
R. Saffioti : How much is it?
Mr
T.K. WALDRON : I need to get appropriate advice before I put any commercial
details on the record. I will get that advice. The development of the nib
Stadium has been a fantastic success. With Allia pulling out, it gives the
state the opportunity to be involved, which will be of great benefit to the
state.
