(1) Does the Government have plans to construct a new dedicated tourist coach rank, if so where and when will the rank be operational?
(2) If not, why not?
(3) If there are no plans will the Government install a large highly visible sign indicating the existing tourist coach rank so that tourists know where they are to be picked up?

(2) There are 28 Chartered Vehicle Bays within the City of Perth that are provided for and used by tour coaches and other chartered vehicles. The City of Perth also provides numerous five minute set down/pick up bays in front of hotels which are regularly used by tour coaches. In addition, the City of Perth is in the process of implementing a "Servicing the City Action Plan" and City Logistic Forums are being held on specific issues at appropriate times. As part of this ongoing strategy, the City of Perth has developed a brief for the development of an 'On Street Parking Policy' which will be completed this financial year. Tour coaches will be included in this policy. It is not appropriate to pre-empt the outcomes of this Policy.
