MEMBER FOR
VASSE — ROAD TRAFFIC INCIDENT
623. Hon KATE DOUST to the
Leader of the House representing the Premier:
I refer to damage
caused to cars by the former Treasurer's vehicle in Subiaco on the
night of 22–23 February 2014.
(1) Can the Premier confirm the estimates of
damage-repair costs to each of the other cars as detailed in the Magistrates
Court hearing?
(2) Has payment been made for these repairs;
and, if so, who made those payments?
(3) If no to (2), when will payment be made and who will make it?
(4) Can the minister confirm that the
government will not provide the licence plate number of the former Treasurer's
vehicle to the owners' insurance companies?
(5) If yes to (3), why is this information
not being provided?

I thank the honourable member for some
notice of the question.
(1)–(5) Any claims for damage to vehicles by the
former Treasurer's vehicle are a matter for RiskCover. I understand
that RiskCover is seeking legal advice from the State Solicitor's
Office on this matter.
