Mining Act 1978
.
(2) Not applicable.
If the Hon Member is referring to section 111A of the
Mining Act 1978
under which the Minister may terminate or summarily refuse certain applications, the following answer applies:
(1) Yes. One application, which involved a number of mining tenement applications where the respective applicants failed to participate in the procedures required by the
Native Title Act 1993
, was referred by the Department of Mines and Petroleum to the Minister.
(2) The mining tenement applications were refused or terminated.
