965. Hon Bob Thomas to the Minister for Transport:
(1) What negotiations has the State Government had with the Northern Territory Government, or any of its agencies, regarding the development of the Outback Highway concept?
(2) What commitment did the Northern Territory Government, or its agencies, give with regard to -
(a) developing the Western Australian and Northern Territory border to the Olgas section of this highway;
(b) the dedication of the section of road for public use; and
(c) removal of permit conditions from the section?
(3) If no negotiations have taken place when will they occur?
(4) Will the Western Australian Government continue to commit Transform WA Funds to the West Australian section of the Outback Highway if it does not secure the commitments listed in (2) above?
