Given the ongoing challenges in the provision of mental health services in regional Western Australia, I ask: (a) how many full time equivalent clinical positions in the therapeutic area of mental health are currently vacant within the Western Australian Country Health Service (WACHS); and (b) of (a), what is the breakdown of the vacancy numbers in terms of the following WACHS regions: (i) Goldfields; (ii) Midwest; (iii) Great Southern; (iv) Pilbara; (v) South West; and (vi) Wheatbelt?

The WA Country Health Service (WACHS) advises the following:
(a)   Overall WACHS’ clinical mental health staffing levels are in line with planned fulltime equivalent (FTE) staffing.
