KALAMUNDA HOSPITAL CAMPUS — MATERNITY SERVICES
I have a supplementary question. Given the government has broken yet another election promise, would the minister say that the member for Kalamunda deliberately misled his electorate when he reaffirmed the government’s commitment to the Liberal Party’s 2008 election promise? The SPEAKER : Before you answer the question; members, I will allow the question to stand as supplementary and I will give the minister the opportunity to answer it, but I counsel all members again that when asking questions, they do not seek an opinion. What is clear is that the member for Kalamunda and I have worked to do our absolute best to restore a service that was destroyed by the former Labor government. If GPs want to come back and deliver babies at that hospital, they certainly can. The commitment remains; they can certainly come back next week if they want to and start delivering babies at that hospital.
