This financial year the park entry area will be upgraded with the provision of toilets, walk paths and interpretive information about the park's environment, Aboriginal and colonial history. In future years improvements to walk and cycle trails, picnic areas, camping facilities and Buffalo Road are planned. 2. Yes. The Leschenault Peninsula Management Plan (1998 – 2008) was prepared in consultation with the community, local shires and other government agencies. As detailed plans for proposed developments are prepared, comment will be sought from nearby local government bodies. The Department of Conservation and Land Management is already seeking comment on the park entry area project from the Shire of Harvey. 3. The suggestion of constructing a pedestrian bridge over The Cut was raised in 2000 by the President of the Bunbury Chamber of Commerce. The South West Development Commission convened a meeting to discuss the suggestion. It was attended by relevant shires, the Bunbury City Council, and government agencies including the Department of Conservation and Land Management.
