DEPARTMENT
OF AGRICULTURE AND FOOD — REVIEW
1435. Hon NIGEL HALLETT to the
Minister for Agriculture and Food:
On 26 June 2015, the director general of the Department of
Agriculture and Food announced an independent review of his department.
(1) Could the minister please outline when the independent
review is due to commence?
(2) What is the time frame for this review?

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the honourable member for some notice of the
question.
(1) Work for
the review has commenced. Based on detailed initial work completed by review
chairman Peter Rogers, a detailed zero-based budget and cost analysis needs to
be completed before the review panel continues its work. DAFWA has initiated
that work in consultation with the Department of Treasury.
(2) It remains my expectation that the review will be
completed by 30 June 2016.
