656. Hon ALANNA CLOHESY to the
parliamentary secretary representing the Minister for Transport:
(1) Has the
Minister for Transport or his department met with representatives of the
goCatch smartphone application; and, if so, when and with whom?
(2) Is the
minister currently considering providing approval for the goCatch app to be
used in Western Australia?
(3) If yes to (2), when does the minister expect to make the
decision?

I thank the honourable member for some notice of this
question.
(1) The
Department of Transport has met with representatives of goCatch on two
occasions—Mr Ned Moorfield on 18 February 2014, and Mr Cameron Wickham
and Mr Andrew Campbell on 30 May 2014.
(2) Approvals relating to taxi dispatch services are made by
the director general of Transport.
(3) Not applicable.
