The McGowan Government inherited an ageing portfolio consisting of a significant number of aged, dilapidated buildings which were unsafe, expensive to maintain, and not fit for purpose due to significant underinvestment by the previous Government, who had put in place a GROH sales program to pay down GROH debt. The McGowan Government has now put a freeze on the sale of GROH properties.
