Again, I represent the Minister for Planning, who is away on urgent
parliamentary business.
I thank the member for some notice of the question.
(1) I am advised that the draft planning
frameworks will be considered by the Western Australian Planning Commission
later this year, after which they will be presented to government for a final
decision.
(2) I understand that the WAPC has received
more than 1 000 written submissions on the draft frameworks, as well as over
100 deputations. Most local governments lodged submissions covering a range of
issues. The Department of Planning has met with local governments to discuss
issues raised in written submissions, and will consider all matters raised in
its decision on the frameworks.
