(a) - (ax) The State Government is continuing a proud Liberal tradition of improving safety for our local school communities. The Member may be interested to know that it was actually the Court-Liberal Government that introduced school speed zones. Each year a list of schools that will be treated under the program is released to the public via the Government media statement website (http://www.mediastatements.wa.gov.au), the Member is strongly encouraged to use this freely available public resource.
(b)The remaining schools will be covered through the Liberal-led State Governments $36 million election commitment to install Electronic School Zone Signs at every school with a school zone across Western Australia. This program will be delivered by 30 June 2017. At this time it is not possible to provide an exact date for the installation of Electronic School Zone Signs at these schools.
