HEALTH SERVICE BOARDS, FUTURE
Will the minister answer the second part of the question? What are his intentions regarding the health service boards in other parts of the State? Mr KUCERA

It concerns me that the member for Murdoch, as opposition spokesperson for health, obviously does not read the excellent reports coming from the Department of Health nowadays. The Health Administration Review Committee said that there would be a system of consultation with the country boards as we moved towards the provision and configuration of excellent health services. That process will continue. The head of the group presenting that report, Mr Michael Daube, was pleased to get a telephone call from the member for Murdoch the day following his appointment, saying how great his appointment was. Mr Board: I didn’t say that. I wished him well. Mr KUCERA: Yes, the member did. If the member for Murdoch read the HARC report and digested it, he would realise a reform process is afoot in this State for the country boards.
